The garden mixing French and English styles offers the opportunity for a most pleasant walk. After a long moment of abandon, Stéphane Bern decided in 2013 to restore the former Royal Military college of Thiron-Gardais and undertook major restoration work. In the old 17th century classrooms, Monsieur Patrimoine has imagined an interesting museum dedicated to the history of the site, as well as to the creation of the Royal Military colleges by Louis XVI. The garden was resuscitated by the famous landscape designer Louis Benech who, in doing so, restored the perspectives of the past. For example, you can find some trees dating from the old regime.
